The Installation
This chapter documents the events of the Tay Whale Sculpture leaving the Port of Dundee travelling down the River Tay, passing through the Tay Road Bridge and mooring up to meet its final resting place at Dundee Waterfront place. This was a complex operation that had a very limited time frame to lift the sculpture from the deck of the barge, on to land and then on to its columns with millimetre precision, which took close to a year of planning … Keep watching to see the unveiling.
